TUITION PLAN FOR 2010- 2011 “TUITION BREAK STATUS”

Tuition – To qualify for “tuition break status”, all of the following criteria apply:

·         At least one of the parents is a practicing Catholic.

·         The family attends Sunday Mass regularly.

·         Parents are registered and active members in Sacred Heart parish life for at least one year prior to registration.

·         An identifiable regular offering (check or envelope) is made to Sacred Heart Church (minimum $300.00 per year).  Accounts are evaluated each January before registration (Families are asked to provide the statement received from the parish that indicates their contributions for the previous year.)

       Kindergarten*              $4,026.00 ($366.00 per month for 11 months)

                         1 Child                         $3,410.00 ($310.00 per month for 11 months)

             2 Children                    $6,820.00 ($620.00 per month for 11 months)

                   3 Children                    $10,230.00 ($930.00 per month for 11 months)

                                           4 Children                    $13,255.00 ($1,205.00 per month for 11 months)

                                                        * No family discount

      ©MONTHLY: Eleven payments on the 5th or 20th of each month August through June made through the

        FACTS Tuition Management Program by automatic debit. Each family will select either the 5th or the 20th for the         payment date for the year.

FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL TUITION BREAK FAMILIES

·         Mandatory contribution as follows:
            1 child               $850.00

2 children          $1,200.00

3 children          $1,550.00

4 children          $1,900.00

            These contributions are to be made in the following manner:

·         Mandatory Sale of 23 Football Mania Tickets per family (extra tickets, if available distributed first come, first served)

·         Tickets sold at $20.00 each for a total of  $460.00

·         Total $460.00 is due by August 24, 2010. (A $25.00 late fee applies after 8/24/10)

·         Based on the above requirements, the remainder of the requirement is as follows:

·         1 child         $390.00 remaining

·         2 children    $740.00 remaining

·         3 children    $1,090.00 remaining

·         4 children    $1,440.00 remaining

These amounts can be paid off through fundraising, in monthly payments or in one lump sum, however, in order to receive re-registration materials, each family must have a fundraising balance of NO MORE than $150.00 by February 1, 2011.

***Families may still wish to utilize scrip as a means of earning credit toward their fundraising requirements.

The following will be our scrip allowances for 2010-2011:

·         Scrip may be purchased through the Great Lakes Scrip Program. Credit given will be based on the listed percentage for a given merchant.

***The Jog-A-Thon will continue to be offered as a fundraising opportunity providing we have a parent to coordinate the event. Families may wish to take advantage of this in order to earn some credit toward their fundraising requirement. Note: the Jog-A-Thon takes place late in the year and will not be a means of meeting your re-registration balance of no more than $150.00.

***Other fundraisers may or may not be offered during the year.

OVERPAYMENT OF FUNDRAISING WILL NOT BE REFUNDED NOR CREDITED TOWARD TUITION OR DAYCARE. NO CREDIT WILL BE APPLIED TO PREVIOUS OR FUTURE YEARS. THE EXCEPTION WILL BE THE “HAVE A HEART” PROGRAM.

Total Fundraising Requirement for each family must be met in full by May 10, 2011.               

 

                                                “CLUB DAYCARE” RATES FOR 2010-2011

            $12.00 per day/$144.00 per month, per child for afterschool care until 6:00 p.m. Mon.-Fri.

·         Payments are due by the 20th of each month

·         Late fee of $25.00 applies for each late payment.

·         The daily rate for daycare shall be $12.00 per day. Families may pay a monthly rate of $144.00 per child if more than 12 days are attended in a month.

·         Morning care begins at 7:00 a.m. Students may NOT be on campus before this time as there is no supervision available. Morning care will remain free of charge as a service to our families.

·         Late pick-up fees of $15.00 per child for every 15 minutes or fraction there-of are due and payable in CASH at time of late-pick up.

·         Families that make a habit of late pick-up will lose the privilege of utilizing our daycare program. This decision will be made at the discretion of the principal.                                                  OVER->

                  1 Child              $4,851  ($441.00 per month for 11 months, August thru June)

                  2 Children         $9,702   ($882.00 per month for 11 months, August thru June)

                  3 Children         $14,553($1,323.00 per month for 11 months, August thru June)

                  4 Children         $19,404($1,764.00 per month for 11 months, August thru June)

Families are advised to check with their tax accountants to determine if payments qualify as tax-deductible

SERVICE HOUR REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL FAMILIES 2010-2011

The following outlines the service hour requirement for all Sacred Heart Families for the 2010-2011 School Year. If you have questions regarding service hours, please contact the office.

·         Time/Talent

2-Parent Families: 40 service hours to Sacred Heart School during the school year to be completed by the end of May.  13 of the 40 hours must be for the Festival.(3 of these hours pre/post festival to be assigned by festival committee.)

1-Parent Families: 30 service hours to Sacred Heart School during the school year to be completed by the end of May.  13 of the 30 hours must be for the Festival. (3 of these hours pre/post festival to be assigned by festival committee.)

·         Monetary Payment

13 hours of service to Sacred Heart School which must be for the Festival.  The remainder hours may be paid for at $25.00 per hour.

2 – Parent Families: 27 X $25 = $675

1 – Parent Families: 17 X $25 = $425

·         ***Failure to do Festival Hours will result in a fine of $50.00 per hour. This will be payable before

March 1, 2011.

 

 

I have read and reviewed the information regarding tuition, fundraising, service hours, and club daycare requirements and fees for the 2010-2011 school year. I understand that failure to comply with the above regulations will place my child/children’s continuation at Sacred Heart School at risk.
